Shivpuri Assembly Election 2023: Will BJP Continue To Stay In Power Against Congress?

Shivpuri (Madhya Pradesh) Assembly Election 2023: On November 17, 2023, Madhya Pradesh will have elections for the 230 Assembly constituencies. The election is scheduled for December 3, 2023.

Shivpuri is a Madhya Pradesh state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha seat that is part of the Guna Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Shivpuri is located in Madhya Pradesh's Shivpuri district and Chambal area. It's classified as a semi-urban seat.

The seat has a total of 2,30,818 voters, with 1,23,026 male voters and 1,07,780 female voters. Shivpuri had a voter turnout of 70.16 per cent in the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections. Turnout was 68.4 per cent in 2013, and 66.44 per cent in 2008.

Shivpuri Assembly Election 2018 and 2013

BJP candidate Yashodhara Raje Scindia won the election in 2018 with 84,570 (51.5 per cent) total votes.

Yashodhara Raje Scindhiya of the BJP won the seat in 2013 with a margin of 11,145 votes (7.32 per cent). Yashodhara Raje Scindhiya received 50.14 per cent of the votes cast.

The BJP won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections by a margin of 1,751 votes (1.62 per cent), accounting for 23.77 per cent of all votes cast.
