Surkhi (Madhya Pradesh) Assembly Election 2023: On November 17, 2023, Madhya Pradesh will have elections for the 230 Assembly constituencies. The election results will be made public on December 3, 2023.
Surkhi is a Madhya Pradesh state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha seat that is part of the Sagar Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Surkhi is located in Madhya Pradesh's Sagar district and Vindhya Pradesh region. It is classified as a rural seat.
The seat has a total of 1,92,825 voters, with 1,05,169 male voters and 87,655 female voters. Surkhi had a voter turnout of 75.48 per cent in the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections. Turnout was 73.93 per cent in 2013, and 74.05 per cent in 2008.
Surkhi Assembly Election 2018 and 2013
In 2018, Govind Singh Rajput of INC won the seat by 80,806 votes (55.33 per cent).
Parul Sahu Kesari of the BJP won the seat by 141 votes (0.1 per cent) in 2013. Parul Sahu received 43.62 per cent of the votes cast.
In the 2008 Assembly elections, INC won this seat by a margin of 12,438 votes (11.38 per cent), collecting 50.29 per cent of the total votes cast.
