The elections to the 230 Assembly constituencies in Madhya Pradesh will be held in the November end or December start but the official dates have not been announced by the Election Commission of India yet. Mahidpur is one of the 230 Assembly constituencies in Madhya Pradesh and falls under the Ujjain Lok Sabha constituency. There are a total of 1,93,813 voters in the seat including 99,873 male voters, and 93,926 female voters.
Mahidpur Assembly Elections 2018:
In the 2018 Mahidpur Assembly Elections, Bharatiya Janata Party's Bahadur Singh Chouhan won by defeating IND's Dinesh Jain Boss with a margin of 15,220 voters. BJP got 70,499 votes in total with 45 per cent of the vote rate, whereas, IND got 55,279 votes in total with 35 per cent of the vote rate. Sardar Singh Chouhan from the Indian National Congress was also in the race and got 22,478 votes in total.
Mahidpur Assembly Election 2013:
In the 2013 Nagada-khachrod Assembly Election, BJP's Bhadur Singh Chouhan won the seat by defeating IND's Dinesh Jain Boss with a margin of 20,634 votes. BJP got 71,096 votes in total with 53 per cent of vote rates. IND got 50,462 votes in total with 37 per cent of the vote rate.
The voter turnout in Mahidpur in the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections was 80.83 per cent and 78.11 per cent in 2013.
