Telangana Assembly Election 2023: The Pargi Assembly seat is one of 119 assembly constituencies in Telangana and is part of Chelvella Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. It falls in the Vikarabad district of the southern state. The polling of the 119-member Legislative Assembly in Telangana will be held on November 30 in a single phase while the results will be announced on December 3.

As far as the Pargi constituency is concerned, It has witnessed fluctuation among Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), Indian National Congress (INC), and Telugu Desam Party (TDP). In 2019, the Pargi seat was won by TDP, Congress won in 2014 and TRS is the current rulling party from the Pargi constituency.

Pargi Assembly Election 2018

In the 2018 Assembly election, TRS fielded K Mahesh Reddy whereas India National Congress (INC) gave a ticket to T Ram Mohan Reddy. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) fielded K Prahalad Rao. In 2018, the Pargi constituency was won by the TRS candidate against INC with a margin of 15,841 votes. TRS candidate received 83,467 votes while the Congress candidate bagged 67,626 votes.

Pargi Assembly Election 2014

In the 2014 Assembly election, Tammannagari Ram Mohan Reddy, who fought the election on a Congress ticket, won the Pargi seat by defeating TRS candidate Koppula Harishwar Reddy with a margin of 5,163 votes while BJP candidate Kamatham Ram Reddy secured the third runner up with 13,355 votes.
