South Indian movies are getting a lot of attention, not just in theaters but also online. One movie called 'Manjummel Boys' has done really well, making over Rs 200 crore at the box office and breaking many records. Premalu (Disney+Hotstar)
‘Premalu’ is a romantic comedy film released in 2024, directed and co-written by Girish A. D. The movie features Naslen K. Gafoor and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles, supported by an ensemble cast including Sangeeth Prathap, Shyam Mohan M, Meenakshi Raveendran, Akhila Bhargavan, and Althaf Salim. Additionally, Mathew Thomas makes an extended cameo appearance in the film.
Manjummel Boys (Disney+Hotstar)
The movie is inspired by a real event that took place in 2006. It tells the story of a bunch of pals hailing from a quaint town called Manjummel, situated near Kochi. These friends make a collective decision to embark on a vacation to Kodaikanal.
Hanuman (Disney+Hotstar)
‘Hanu-Man’ is a superhero film in the Telugu language released in 2024. The movie is written and directed by Prasanth Varma and produced by Primeshow Entertainment. Leading the cast is Teja Sajja in the titular role, supported by Amritha Aiyer, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Samuthirakani, Vinay Rai, Vennela Kishore, and Raj Deepak Shetty. Hindi version of HanuMan is currently streaming on JioCinema, while Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada versions will make its OTT debut on April 5 on Disney+Hotstar.
