South OTT Releases In May 2025: Several new South movies are gearing up for their much-anticipated OTT release in May. From Ajith Kumar’s Good Bad Ugly, which emerged as the highest grossing Tamil movie of 2025, to Robinhood, starring Nithiin and Sreeleela, among others, here is a list of some of the most-awaited South OTT releases that are set to stream on Netflix, Prime Video, JioHotstar, Zee5, Aha and other streaming giants this month.

South OTT Releases In May 2025

Good Bad Ugly

Good Bad Ugly, starring Ajith Kumar, alongside Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Das, Sunil, Karthikeya Dev, Priya Prakash Varrier, Prabhu, Prasanna, Tinnu Anand and Raghu Ram, is a 2025 Indian Tamil-language action comedy movie. The film is about a retired gangster who returns to his violent ways after his son is wrongfully convicted. It emerged as the highest grossing Tamil film of 2025. 

Good Bad Ugly is expected to stream on Netflix from May 8, 2025.

Bromance

Bromance hit the theatres on February 14, 2025, generating positive response from both the critics and the audience alike. The stars Arjun Ashokan, Mathew Thomas, Sangeeth Prathap, Mahima Nambiar, Shyam Mohan, Kalabhavan Shajohn and Bharath Bopanna. It has been written and directed by Arun D. Jose and co-written by Raveesh Nath and Thomas P. Sebastian.

Thudarum

Thudarun is a 2025 Indian Malayalam-language crime thriller movie directed by Tharun Moorthy, who also wrote the screenplay with K. R. Sunil. The movie stars Mohanlal and Shobana, alongside Prakash Varma, Farhaan Faasil, Maniyanpilla Raju, Binu Pappu, Irshad Ali, Aarsha Chandini Baiju, Thomas Mathew, Krishna Prabha in supporting roles. It hit the theatres on April 25 to critical acclaim from fans and critics alike.

Thudarum is expected to arrive on JioHotstar in May 2025.

Robinhood

Robinhood hit the theatres on March 28, 2025 and opened to negative reviews, thereby becoming a box office bomb. The film stars Nithiin and Sreeleela, alongside Vennela Kishore, Rajendra Prasad, Devdatta Nage and Shine Tom Chacko. Robinhood will stream on Zee5 from May 2, 2025.

Varunan

The Indian Tamil-language film hit the theatres on March 14, 2025. It has been written and directed by Jaayavelmurugun and produced by Karthick Sreedaran's Yakkai Films and co-produced by Vaan Productions. The movie stars Dushyanth Jayaprakash, Gabriella Charlton, Radha Ravi, Charan Raj in the lead roles.

Varunan will be available to watch on Aha from May 1, 2025.
