Aamir Khan, the ‘Mr. Perfectionist’ of Bollywood is currently on a break from his acting career. The versatile actor, was last seen in a cameo appearance in the Kajol led ‘Salaam Venky’ and undertook the decision to take a one-and-a-half year break from films. Mainly to focus on better projects and on his personal life, the actor was last seen in a lead role in the 2022 release ‘Lal Singh Chaddha.’ The ambitious project left the makers disappointed, as the film had a terrible run at the box office.

The actor soon opened about his decision to take a break from acting in detail and layed out the real reason behind his decision. The actor attended a book launch event of writer Shobha De couple of months ago, and said, “They make fun of me. They always say - You were always on a break. Tu filmein hi kaha karta hai, jo tu ab break par hai. You see, the difference is now my mind is on the people. Earlier, my mind was on the films.”

However, the actor is now all set to make his ultimate comeback and has announced the release date of his upcoming film. The details about his upcoming venture are still under the sheets, however trade analyst Taran Adarsh unveiled the release date announcement on X (formerly Twitter).

His tweet read, “#Xclusiv… AAMIR KHAN LOCKS CHRISTMAS 2024 FOR NEXT FILM… Aamir Khan Productions’ Prod No. 16 [not titled yet], starring #AamirKhan in the lead role, to release on 20 Dec 2024 #Christmas2024. Pre-production of the film is ongoing and the film goes on floors on 20 Jan 2024… More details to follow soon.”

The film is set to go on floors on January 20, whereas the film will release on December 20, 2024. Even though the actor is on a break, he has been receiving tons of film offers. The rumour mill has that ‘KGF’ director Prashanth Neel has approached the actor for his upcoming two-hero film, co-starring NTR Jr. The actor may also join Yash Raj Film’s spy universe soon with an upcoming spy thriller film in the pipeline.
