Aavesham Vs Varshangalkku Shesham Box Office Day 6: Even on its sixth day in theaters, the Fahadh Faasil starrer shows no signs of slowing down. The film continues to enthrall audiences with its compelling storyline and impressive performances. Directed by Jithu Madhavan, the movie premiered on April 11. On its fifth day of release, 'Aavesham' garnered a net income of above Rs 3 crore in India.
During the Eid-Vishu season, two major films hit the screens on April 11-- Aavesham and Vineeth Sreenivasan’s Varshangalkku Shesham, featuring Dhyan Sreenivasan and Pranav Mohanlal. Despite their distinct genres, both movies have proven to be significant successes, achieving impressive box office numbers. However, Aavesham has outperformed Varshangalkku Shesham.

The action-comedy film starring Fahadh Faasil, has received widespread acclaim from both audiences and critics, cementing its position as a blockbuster in Malayalam cinema. It began its box office journey with a strong opening, earning Rs 3.26 crore on its first day. On the first Tuesday, Aavesham is estimated to have grossed around Rs 3.60 crore net in India. As of April 15, 2024, the film maintained an overall Malayalam occupancy rate of 51.86%, accumulating a total collection of Rs 23.30 crore.
Aavesham features Nazriya Nazim, Fahad Faasil, and Anwar Rasheed in leading roles, with supporting characters portrayed by Ashish Vidyarthi, Sajin Gopu, and Mansoor Ali Khan. Sameer Thahir is responsible for cinematography, while Sushin Shyam handles music composition. The storyline follows three teenagers who move to Bangalore for their engineering studies and become embroiled in a conflict with senior students. In their pursuit of vengeance, they seek assistance from a local gangster named Ranga, setting the stage for the unfolding events of the plot.

Varshangalkku Shesham also had a strong start at the box office, accumulating an estimated Rs 3.05 crore in net earnings on its opening day in India. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, 'Varshangalkku Shesham' recorded an impressive addition of Rs 2.25 crore on its sixth day.
Directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan, the film has garnered a total of Rs 18 crore thus far. On Tuesday, Varshangalkku Shesham maintained an overall Malayalam occupancy rate of 39.90%. The cast includes Kalyani Priyadarshan, Dhyan Sreenivasan, Basil Joseph, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Neeta Pillai, and Nivin Pauly, alongside Pranav Mohanlal.
The film explores the interconnected lives of two friends, Murali and Venu, across various timeframes. Originating from northern Kerala, their paths intersect unexpectedly, leading to a profound connection. The narrative unfolds as they pursue their dreams of attaining stardom in the film industry, journeying from their hometown to Kodambakkam, Chennai. Along the way, they confront the harsh realities of the industry. While one embraces success and recognition, the other grapples with adversity, testing the strength of their friendship.
