Rumours about the relationship between aespa's Winter and ENHYPEN's Jungwon have taken social media by storm, but both idols and their management have firmly denied these claims. The agencies have labelled the speculations as baseless and announced strict legal action against those spreading false information.

The rumours began when a post on X (formerly Twitter) alleged that Winter and Jungwon were spotted "on a date" at a bar in Chungdam. According to the claims, Winter exited the venue first and got into a cab, followed shortly by Jungwon. Their outfits were reportedly a key detail that led fans to recognize them.

The post was later deleted, but not before sparking a wave of online chatter. Fans debated the claims, with some pointing out inconsistencies and others defending the possibility of their friendship.

Winter’s agency, SM Entertainment, quickly issued a statement dismissing the rumours as "groundless." They clarified via Koreaboo that no truth exists to the dating speculation and warned of legal action against those responsible for distributing photos and fabricating stories.

The agency further revealed to OSEN that the individual who initially spread the photos had approached a media outlet with monetary motives. When the outlet refused to cooperate, citing its ethical policy against paid tips, the person allegedly resorted to sharing the images with malicious intent.

Belift Lab, ENHYPEN’s agency, also denied the rumours, stating, “The dating rumours are not true,” and announced plans to take strong action to curb the spread of false information. Fans of both Winter and Jungwon have taken to social media to express their thoughts. Many supported the idols, dismissing the rumours and focusing on their careers. A fan shared, “I don’t think Jungwon will date anyone right now since ENHYPEN is in a crucial stage of their career.” Another noted that Winter’s outfit, seen in a recent dance challenge, might have contributed to the speculation.

Some fans expressed hope for the idols’ happiness, regardless of the rumours. “If it’s true, then I’ll be happy for them. Whatever makes them happy matters most,” wrote a supporter.

Winter debuted as a member of aespa in 2020 under SM Entertainment and quickly gained fame as part of the four-member group. Jungwon, also debuting in 2020, is the leader of ENHYPEN and was previously a figure skater before pursuing a career in music. Despite the rumours, both idols continue to shine in their respective careers, supported by agencies and loyal fans who admire their dedication to their craft.
