Veteran Telugu actor Mohan Babu recently faced a serious allegation related to the tragic death of Sooryavansham actress Soundarya after 21 years of her demise. A complaint was filed in Khammam district of Andhra Pradesh claiming that the actress’ death was not an accident but rather an alleged murder regarding the property dispute with the legendary star. For the unversed, Soundarya died in a plane crash along with her brother in Bengaluru on April 17, 2004. 

Coming back to the case, as per a report by News18 Kannada, the complainant has been identified as Chittimallu, who alleged that Soundarya and her brother refused to sell a six acres land in Jalpalli village, Shamshabad, to Mohan Babu. This led to an alleged major conflict between the two sides. The complaint further claimed that after the plane crash, Mohan Babu forcefully took the land. The complainant named Chittimallu submitted his complaint to both Khammam ACP and the District Officer. He urged that the government should seize the land for the use of public welfare like orphanages or support for military families, police personnel, and journalists. His complaint also calls for an investigation of Mohan Babu related to land grab. 

Chittimallu also mentioned in his complaint about the ongoing land dispute within the Manchu family, especially about the actor’s legal trouble which involves his younger son Machu Manoj. It also demanded justice for Machu Manoj and asked the seizure of a six-acre guesthouse in Jalpalli. He also mentioned in his complaint that he has been facing threats due to this legal issue and asked for police protection. Till now, Mohan Babu and his team have not responded to the allegations or the complaint.
