Ranveer Singh’s upcoming action-thriller Dhurandhar official teaser is finally here. Packed with intense visuals, high-octane fight sequences, and a gripping storyline, the teaser has already created a buzz across the internet. Directed by Aditya Dhar, known for the acclaimed Uri: The Surgical Strike, the movie is scheduled to hit theatres on December 5th this year.

Dhurandhar movie is inspired by real events and draws from covert missions led by India’s current National Security Advisor, Ajit Doval. Ranveer Singh takes on the role of this undercover operative, while R. Madhavan portrays Ajit Doval. The movie also features a stellar cast including Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, and Yami Gautam, adding further intrigue and star power.

With excitement building for Dhurandhar’s release, here’s a look back at Ranveer Singh’s 10 highest-grossing movies to date.

Padmaavat (2018)

Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Padmaavat starred Ranveer Singh as the fearsome Alauddin Khilji, alongside Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor. Released on 25th January 2018, the film earned over Rs 585 crore worldwide. It follows the story of Queen Padmavati and her battle against Khilji’s obsession. Ranveer’s intense performance and the film’s grand visuals made it a massive success.

Simmba (2018)

Rohit Shetty’s action-packed entertainer Simmba featured Ranveer as a corrupt cop turned vigilante, Sangram Bhalerao. Released on 28th December 2018, it starred Sara Ali Khan and Sonu Sood, grossing over  Rs 400 crore worldwide. The film’s mix of comedy, drama, and high-energy action struck a chord with audiences. It’s also part of Shetty’s cop universe with Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar.

Gully Boy (2019)

In Gully Boy, directed by Zoya Akhtar, Ranveer Singh played Murad, an aspiring street rapper from Mumbai’s slums. Co-starring Alia Bhatt and Siddhant Chaturvedi, it released on 14th February 2019 and collected over  Rs 238 crore globally. Inspired by real-life rappers Divine and Naezy, the movie’s raw energy and Ranveer’s performance earned widespread acclaim.

Bajirao Mastani (2015)

Ranveer portrayed the valiant Peshwa Bajirao in this historical romance by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Co-starring Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra, it released on 18th December 2015 and grossed  Rs 356 crore worldwide. The story centres on the warrior’s love for Mastani and the political turmoil it causes. Ranveer’s transformation was lauded by both critics and fans.

83 (2021)

Kabir Khan’s 83 saw Ranveer step into the shoes of cricket legend Kapil Dev, capturing India’s historic 1983 World Cup win. Released on 24th December 2021, the film also starred Deepika Padukone, Tahir Raj Bhasin, and Ammy Virk, earning around  Rs 193 crore globally. Ranveer’s uncanny resemblance and dedication to the role stood out in this patriotic sports drama.

Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela (2013)

This modern Romeo-Juliet adaptation, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, was Ranveer’s first collaboration with Deepika Padukone. Released on 15th November 2013, it earned  Rs 202 crore globally. The movie combined passionate romance with intense family rivalries. Ranveer’s powerful screen presence as Ram made it a breakthrough in his career.

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (2023)

Directed by Karan Johar, this romantic family drama starred Ranveer opposite Alia Bhatt and featured Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi. Released on 28th July 2023, it crossed  Rs 355 crore at the global box office. The film combined humour, heart, and cultural clashes, with Ranveer playing the colourful, loud-yet-loving Rocky.

Dil Dhadakne Do (2015)

Ranveer played Kabir Mehra in this ensemble comedy-drama by Zoya Akhtar. Released on 5th June 2015, the film also starred Priyanka Chopra, Anil Kapoor, Shefali Shah, and Farhan Akhtar, grossing over  Rs 145 crore worldwide. Set on a luxury cruise, it dealt with family dysfunction, love, and freedom. Ranveer’s charming performance added depth to the story.

Kill Dil (2014)

Directed by Shaad Ali, Kill Dil starred Ranveer as Dev, a gangster struggling between love and crime. Released on 14th November 2014, it featured Parineeti Chopra, Ali Zafar, and Govinda, earning  Rs 50 crore at the box office. Though not a major hit, the film was action-packed and showcased Ranveer’s versatility in grey roles.

Gunday (2014)

This high-voltage action drama, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, featured Ranveer alongside Arjun Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. Released on 14th February 2014, it grossed over  Rs 130 crore globally. Set in 1970s Calcutta, it followed the rise and fall of two childhood friends turned gangsters. Ranveer’s raw intensity and bromance with Arjun were highlights of the film.
