Ajay Devgn starred in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe Singham Again but failed to impress the audience like the other installments of the Singham franchise. The movie received mixed reactions for its portrayal of Singham’s character, with Bajirao Singham being less relatable amidst the supporting cast. In response to the feedback, Ajay finally broke his silence and addressed the disappointment surrounding Singham Again's shortcomings. He assured viewers that the makers would work on the feedback for the next installment.

Ajay Devgn attended the Zee Real Heroes Awards 2025, where he discussed the flaws in Singham Again and his role in the third installment. When the hosts of the event mentioned missing the iconic Singham, known for beating up villains and delivering grand action sequences, the actor responded, saying, "I think yeh reaction mujhe kaafi logon se aaya hai. Toh aage dhyaan rakhenge ki woh jo Singham ka feel tha—ghus ghus ke maarne ka—woh aage zaroor rahega (I think I received a similar reaction from a lot of people. So, we are going to ensure that the next time—the authentic feel of Singham where he does intense action—will definitely be a part of the film)."

About Singham Again

Singham Again is the third installment in the Singham franchise and the fifth installment in Rohit Shetty's Cop Universe, following Singham, Singham Returns, Simmba and Sooryavanshi. Headlined by Ajay Devgn, the film was released in theaters on Diwali 2024, where it faced a box office clash with Kartik Aaryan's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. The film also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tiger Shroff, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone,and Ranveer Singh. After its theatrical run, the makers released the film on Prime Video on December 27, 2024.

Ajay Devgn's Upcoming Movies

Ajay Devgn is gearing up for the highly anticipated sequel of Son of Sardaar. The sequel, Son of Sardaar 2, will feature Mrunal Thakur alongside Ajay Devgn and is set to release on July 25, 2025.
In addition, he will be seen in De De Pyaar De 2, which stars Rakul Preet Singh and R. Madhavan in lead roles. He also has Raid 2 in the pipeline.
