Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi-starrer 'OMG 2' has been embroiled in multiple controversies, days ahead of its release in theatres. It was also reported by a media portal that the film might face a postponement due to the alleged cuts directed by the censor board.
Ealier, according to a report in Koimoi, a source claimed, “The 'OMG 2' producers would actually have to change or delete several sequences where Akshay Kumar is shown assuming the Blue skin complexion of Lord Shiva. If makers decide to do the directed changes in the film, the Akshay Kumar-starrer would miss the August 11 release."
OMG 2 To Release On August 11
On Tuesday, the producer himself confirmed that the film is all set to release alongside Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel-starrer 'Gadar 2'.
The upcoming film has been granted A certificate from the Censor Board with 27 cuts. Producer of the film Ajit Andhare took to his X account to confirm the same and wrote, “Happy to share #OMG2 is cleared and we are set for a release on 11th. No major cuts only some changes that are always part of a process. See you at the theatres soon.”
