Akshay Kumar took to social media and spread the news about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cleanliness campaign on the eve of Gandhi Jayanti. On the other hand, South superstar Rajinikanth also took the opportunity and urged his fans to be a part of the campaign showing his support. PM Narendra Modi recently shared the news during his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ episode and appealed everyone to join the cleanliness drive.
According to a report in India Today, he said, “One hour of shramdaan for swachhata" on October 1 by all citizens and said it would be a "Swachhanjali" to Mahatma Gandhi on the eve of his birth anniversary on October 1.” Soon Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth also shared this message of keeping the environment and country clean.
Akshay Kumar shared a picture on Instagram in which he was seen holding a broom and collecting all the garbage on a beach. Sharing the image he wrote, “Cleanliness is not just about physical spaces, it is a state of mind. Being out of the country couldn’t stop me from paying a tribute to Swachhata Abhiyan. So I would say wherever you are, do your bit to keep your space, and mind, clutter free. #SwachhataHiSeva.”

On the other hand, Rajinikanth took to X (Known as Twitter) and wrote, “A healthy environment begins with a clean environment..Let’s keep India clean.”
PM Narendra Modi shared the news on X as well and wrote, “Swachh Bharat is the collective responsibility of all the residents of the country. Every effort of public participation is very important in this direction. Let us come together tomorrow at 10 am to dedicate one hour to cleanliness and help us build a bright future for the country."
