One of the finest actresses of Bollywood in recent times, Alia Bhatt has been balancing the role of a mother and an actor seamlessly. The actress, who welcomed her first child Raha in November 2022, recalled the time when she got to know about her pregnancy. Alia married Ranbir Kapoor in an intimate wedding ceremony at her residence in Mumbai in April 2022. Later, the same year in June surprised her fans and well-wishers with her pregnancy news. 

In an interview with News18, Alia shared that she found out about her pregnancy on the sets and started crying. She said, “I was on set, I started crying. Khushi ke aansu.”

When she was asked about her first thought after seeing Raha for the first time, Alia replied ‘Magic’. She also recalled her reaction after her daughter started saying the first few words. The actress said, “I’m trying to remember because it was some time ago. Of course, excitement. I must have definitely shrieked and screamed. Yeah, it must’ve been some sort of shriek from my side.”

She added, “Actually, now the process is that Raha comes and wakes us up. The first reaction is to look at her face and give her a big hug. She literally walks in the room and wakes us up.”

On the professional side, Alia Bhatt will be next seen in Vasan Bala’s directorial Jigra. It also stars Vedang Raina and Aditya Nanda in lead roles. The film is scheduled to be released in theatres on 27th September 2024. Apart from this, she is also working on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s movie Love & War which also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. As per reports, the movie is based on Raj Kapoor's Sangam. Alia will be also seen in Aditya Chopra’s female-led Spy Universe franchise with Sharvari Wagh.
