Alia Bhatt, on Friday, shared a glimpse of her big day as she recently made her Met Gala debut wearing Prabal Gurung's beautiful flared white gown. Taking to her Instagram, the actress shared the behind-the-scenes video from New York where she got her makeup done and also spoke about feeling nervous ahead of the event.
The video began with Alia Bhatt trying on her white gown featuring a dramatic long trail with hundreds of pearl beads. Before the designer said, "From Mumbai to Met", Alia Bhatt can be seen without makeup and then cracked a little joke, where she said, "Cool, can somebody like lift me up now, and place me on the (Met Gala) carpet from here?"

In the video, Alia Bhatt got ready for Met Gala 2023, where the actor can be seen seated in her makeup chair and said, "When you talk about one of the major events in the year globally, the first that comes to mind is the Met Gala. It is very exciting, but I will definitely tell you that when I am stepping out of that sprinter van, I am going to feel a little wobble in my knees. It is not going to be really nice because I have a very big dress, and very high shoes."
Next, Alia Bhatt is seen trying on her dress and managing it inside the elevator with the designer Prabal Gurung and her team. She also added a few snapshots of herself posing with the designer and popular singer Rita Ora, where she was cheerfully greeted by her fans as she left the hotel to step onto the red carpet of Met Gala 2023.
Earlier, the actress shared a detailed post on her Instagram adding a series of pictures from the grand event. Taking to her Instagram, she wrote, "I wanted to do something that felt authentic (hello, pearls!) and proudly made in India. The embroidery, made with a 100,000 pearls is a labour of love by @prabalgurung. I'm so proud to wear you for my first Met..."

Talking about this year's Met Gala 2023, the theme of the event was 'Karl Lagerfeld: A Line Of Beauty' to honor the late fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld. The grand event took place on May 1 in New York, where from India, actress Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, socialite Natasha Poonawalla, and heiress Isha Ambani attended the event.
