Pushpa 2: Allu Arjun recently came across a major controversy after he arrived at Sandhya theatre in Hyderabad on December 4 where a woman lost her life due to stampede. Her 9-year-old son got hospitalised due to a heavy rush accelerated to get a glimpse of the superstar. Arjun recently took his social media handles to react to the incident and shared his sincere condolences to the grieving family. In the video, he assured to give medical expenditure to the injured people and claimed to give Rs 25 lakhs to secure the future of the victim’s family. 

While sharing the video, Allu Arjun wrote on X “Deeply heartbroken by the tragic incident at Sandhya Theatre. My heartfelt condolences go out to the grieving family during this unimaginably difficult time. I want to assure them they are not alone in this pain and will meet the family personally. While respecting their need for space to grieve, I stand committed to extend every possible assistance to help them navigate through this challenging journey.” 

In the video, he talked about the death of Revathi, “When we went to watch Pushpa’s premiere at RTC Crossroads (in Hyderabad), we never expected to hear such tragic news the next day. It was deeply disheartening to hear that a family was injured, and a lady named Revathi died due to her injuries. Watching movies in theatres is a cherished ritual, but this incident left us all heartbroken.” 

He continued, “On behalf of the Pushpa team, we extend our deepest condolences to the family. We understand that no words or actions can ever compensate for the loss you are bearing. We stand with you emotionally and will do everything within our capacity to support you in this difficult time.” 

He then stated that he contributed Rs 25 lakh to secure the future of the victim’s family. “As a goodwill gesture, I would like to extend financial assistance of Rs 25 lakh to the family. Additionally, we will take care of the medical expenses to ensure the injured members receive the best possible care. This is our way of showing that we are there for you, especially for the children in the family,” the actor added. 

“My only request to all fans is to be cautious while enjoying our movies. Our entire intention is to provide good entertainment for families to enjoy together. Please take care and ensure you return home safely after watching the film,” Allu Arjun concluded. 

There were special screenings held in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Bengaluru on December 4 at 9:30 pm. Allu Arjun arrived at his family at the Sandhya theatre in Hyderabad on December 4. The crowd went out of control seeing the superstar, where Revathi (victim) went to Sandhya theatre with her two sons. Due to the huge rush, the victims were found unconscious and were rushed to the hospital after being stampede. Revathi was declared dead after she arrived at the hospital.
