Amitabh Bachchan recently made an interesting confession in a recent episode Kaun Banega Crorepati 16. The veteran actor stated that he is a fan of Pushpa 2 actor Allu Arjun. He also complimented him and his work. However, Bachchan asked not to compare him with the south superstar. This conversation was initiated when a fan said that she is a fan of Amitabh Bachchan and Allu Arjun. The contestant was asked about her fondness for Arjun by Amitabh, she added “Sir, I am a fan of both Allu Arjun and you.”
Amitabh said, “Allu Arjun is an incredibly talented artist, and the recognition he has received is well-deserved. I’m also a huge fan of his. Recently, his movie was released (Pushpa 2: The Rule), and if you haven’t seen it yet, you should watch it. But don’t compare me to him.”
The fan added, “When you perform comedy scenes, both of you bite your collar and blink your eyes. There’s another similarity between you two – both of your voices have a certain richness. Meeting you has fulfilled my dream; now I just need to meet Allu Arjun.”
On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in Tamil movie Vettaiyan. The film stars Rajinikanth, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Fahadh Faasil, Asal Kolaar and Rana Daggubati in key roles. The movie was released in theatres on October 10, 2024. The film is streaming on Prime Video.
He was also seen in Kalki 2898 AD. The sci-fi-action thriller also features Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani, Deepika Padukone, Anna Ben, Shobana and Krishnakumar Balasubramanian in key roles. It was released in theatres on June 27, 2024. The Hindi version of the movie is streaming on Netflix and the South version of the film is streaming on Prime Video.
