Fans of the popular web series Panchayat were thrilled when TVF recently shared photos of Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan alongside Chandan Roy, who plays Vikas Shukla in the series. The pictures sparked excitement and speculation about Big B’s involvement in the much-loved show. While the photos hinted at something special, the collaboration was actually part of an awareness campaign.
Amitabh Bachchan recently appeared in a social media campaign alongside Pankaj Jha, known for his role as Vidhayak Ji in Panchayat. The campaign aimed to educate viewers about the dangers of online financial scams.
The ad begins with Vidhayak Ji receiving a suspicious call from someone claiming to offer a "Paisa Badhao investment." Intrigued, he asks how the scheme works, only to be lured by fake promises. Just as he’s about to fall for the scam, Amitabh Bachchan intervenes, delivering a stern warning. With his signature wit and authority, Big B advises caution, reminding viewers to use only SEBI-approved platforms and report scams to Cyber Dost at 1930. Sharing the video on Instagram, Amitabh Bachchan captioned it, “Be cautious, be aware!! Always use SEBI-approved apps and platforms.”

Panchayat Season 4: What We Know So Far?
The buzz around Panchayat Season 4 is at an all-time high. Filming for the fourth season is set to begin on October 25, 2024, much to the delight of fans. The series, which revolves around the fictional village of Phulera, continues to charm audiences with its relatable characters and heartwarming stories.
The upcoming season will see the return of beloved characters like Abhishek Tripathi (Jitendra Kumar), Manju Devi (Neena Gupta) and Brij Bhushan Dubey (Raghubir Yadav). Other familiar faces include Faisal Malik as Prahlad, Chandan Roy as Vikas Shukla and Sanvikaa as Rinki. Pankaj Jha, who plays the cunning Vidhayak Ji, is also expected to have a significant role.
Director Deepak Kumar Mishra has confirmed plans for both Seasons 4 and 5, promising fans more engaging stories from Phulera. The show has consistently been praised for its family-friendly content, making it a rare gem in the web series landscape.
Season 3, which premiered in May 2024, left viewers eager for more, especially regarding the budding chemistry between Secretary Ji (Jitendra Kumar) and Rinki (Sanvikaa). Fans are hopeful that Season 4 will explore their love story further.
Since its premiere in April 2020, Panchayat has become a fan favourite, thanks to its relatable storytelling and stellar performances. With its upcoming season, the show aims to continue its successful run, potentially premiering on Amazon Prime Video in 2026. While Big B’s recent appearance with the Panchayat cast was for a public service ad, fans can’t help but wonder if the actor might make a cameo in the series. TVF’s playful caption, "Dekho Kaun Aaya Hai Phulera Mein," has only fueled speculation.
