Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's Mameru ceremony, held at Antilia in Mumbai, was a star-studded affair. Several Bollywood celebrities, including Janhvi Kapoor, Shikhar Pahariya and Manushi Chhillar, attended the pre-wedding event, adding glamour to the celebrations.
Janhvi Kapoor arrived with her rumoured boyfriend, Shikhar Pahariya and his brother Veer Pahariya. The couple made a stylish entrance, with Janhvi wearing a stunning orange lehenga paired with an embroidered sleeveless blouse and matching dupatta, while Shikhar opted for a traditional blue kurta with white pyjamas. The duo was all smiles as they posed for the paparazzi before joining the festivities.
Manushi Chhillar, the former Miss World, was also seen at the event, dazzling in traditional attire. Orry, another close friend of the couple, attended the ceremony, contributing to the celebratory atmosphere.
The Mameru ceremony is an essential Gujarati pre-wedding ritual where the bride receives gifts from her maternal uncle (mama). Traditionally, the gifts include a Panetar saree, jewellery, ivory or white chura (bangles) and a variety of sweets and dry fruits. This ceremony symbolizes the love and support of the bride’s maternal family and adds emotional richness to the wedding celebrations.
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's wedding festivities have been grand. The Mameru ceremony, held at their luxurious residence, Antilia, is just one of many pre-wedding events leading up to their wedding. The couple, who are childhood friends, officially announced their relationship in 2018 and got engaged in a Gol Dhana ceremony in Mumbai on January 19, 2023.
