In a surprising development, Sudhanshu Pandey, best known for his role as Vanraj Shah on Anupamaa, announced his departure from the show during a live Instagram session. While the exact reasons for his exit are not yet known, there are speculative reports hinting at a possible conflict with Rupali Ganguly. Aashish Mehrotra, who played Sudhanshu's son Toshu on the series, also voiced his astonishment upon hearing the news of Pandey’s sudden exit.

Aashish told Free Press Journal, "It was shocking for me too. Mujhe pe social media se hi pata chala. I was way too shocked. But I agree with whatever he said in his video. One should definitely try and take up new things as an actor. Regarding his portrayal of Vanraj, I think he is the most good-looking 'Vanraj Shah', and his portrayal of the character will be missed a lot. I want to wish him all the best."

Commenting on the rumours of a fallout between Sudhanshu and Rupali, Aashish added, "In any household, there will be some clashes. However, I have no idea about the actual reason for his departure since I'm no longer part of the show."

Sudhanshu Pandey Unfollows Rupali Ganguly

Sudhanshu Pandey's sudden announcement of his departure from Rajan Shahi's show during an Instagram Live session took his 2.2 million fans by surprise and sparked a social media buzz. Since then, his new online activity has drawn additional attention, particularly as he has unfollowed Rupali Ganguly and producer Rajan Shahi on Instagram, fueling further controversy.

Although Sudhanshu's live video did not mention any issues with Ganguly or Shahi, media reports suggest there might be a connection. Some sources claim his exit was due to a conflict with Ganguly, while others indicate a disagreement with Shahi may have prompted his decision to leave.

In the live session, Sudhanshu said, "I want to tell you all with a heavy heart that I am no longer a part of the show Anupamaa. I am not working on the show from the Raksha Bandhan episode. It has been so many days, I thought my audience might get angry with me, so I thought it was my responsibility to tell you all this myself. I will play many new characters, I will not bore you in the same role. Please keep supporting me in the future as well."
