'Apoorva Sagotharargal' Actor Mohan Passes Away: Mohan, a well-known supporting actor who appeared in Kamal Haasan's movie 'Apoorva Sagotharargal,' was found dead in Madurai's Thiruparankundram region. His death was attributed to his dire financial situation. Originally from Mettur in Salem district, Mohan was 60 years old and had been working as a supporting actor in Tamil movies. He notably played one of Kamal Haasan's friends in the 1989 film 'Apoorva Sagotharargal.'
Mohan has an extensive filmography that includes appearances in several movies, such as 'Naan Kadavul,' starring Arya, 'Athisaya Manithargal,' and others. A few years ago, he relocated to Thiruparangunram in Madurai, but unfortunately, he didn't receive any film roles. It is said that due to his impoverished condition, he resorted to begging on the main chariot road in the area.

On July 31, Mohan's lifeless body was discovered on the street, and upon receiving the information, the Thiruparankundram police retrieved his remains and sent them to Madurai Government Hospital for post-mortem examination. The police also informed his family members in Salem, and after the post-mortem, his mortal remains were transported back to his hometown. Mohan is said to have two brothers and three sisters, all living in their native town of Salem.

Previously, renowned Tamil actor Prabhu, known for his remarkable supporting roles in south films, had passed away in a government hospital, where he was living in destitution. In a heartfelt gesture, composer D. Imman performed the last rites of the deceased actor to ensure a peaceful farewell. This second incident of a popular actor facing financial difficulties has deeply shaken Kollywood fans, prompting them to call for action from Nadigar Sangam to prevent their stars from experiencing poverty-related hardships.
