Alia Bhatt is not only a versatile actress but also a devoted mother. She embraced motherhood and welcomed her daughter Raha with Ranbir Kapoor in November 2022. Recently, Alia revealed that she and her husband have already chosen a name for their second child and if it's a boy. The Jigra actress also shared how they chose the name Raha for their daughter and credited her mother-in-law Neetu Kapoor for the suggestion.

Alia Bhatt recently appeared on Jay Shetty's podcast, where she made some interesting revelations about her life and motherhood. Her statement about the name for their second child attracted much attention.

She shared, “This was when Ranbir and I, both eager parents, were asking our family group to suggest names for both boys and girls so we could be prepared. We wanted to settle on a girl’s name and a boy’s name. There were multiple boy names and multiple girl names, and we really liked one boy’s name. We said, ‘Okay, this is a lovely boy’s name.’ I’m not going to reveal that now.”

Alia then revealed how Neetu Kapoor suggested the name Raha, saying it would complement the boy's name they had selected. Alia said, “We said okay, this name is lovely. Now, any more girl names? My mother-in-law, Ranbir’s mom, suggested, ‘What about Raha? It’ll go very well with the boy’s name as well if you ever have a boy. If you have a boy and a girl, it’ll be a really good combination.’ Then she also suggested a girl-girl combination. But Ranbir and I instantly loved Raha. So we had two names, one for a boy and one for a girl, ready.”

After several years of dating, Alia and Ranbir tied the knot in April 2022. They welcomed their first child, Raha, in November 2022. The couple revealed Raha’s face at Christmas 2023, and since then, her public appearances have melted netizens' hearts.
