The multi-faceted man of Indian cinema, Ashutosh Gowariker, recently visited the family of DSP Rama Kant Kulkarni ahead of the release of his new web series, Manvat Murders. After receiving critical acclaim for his films like 'Lagan', 'Jodhaa Akbar', and 'Swades', Gowarikar is himself portraying the real-life character of Kulkarni in the much-awaited series. Ever since the trailer of the show came out, everyone has been hailing Ashutosh's performance, and he has once again exhibited his unparalleled craft and body of work as an actor.

Ashutosh Gowariker met the Kulkarni family including Ramakant's wife, Mrs. Kulkarni, daughter Anita Bhogle, her husband, and legendary cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle.

During the visit, Ashutosh Gowariker shared his thoughts about meeting the family of Rama Kant Kulkarni and said, “Meeting the Kulkarnis was humbling. Hearing about Rama Kant ji’s warmth and love for his family; his gentlemanly attitude towards criminals; and his qualities of being a team leader gave me a deeper understanding of the man behind the uniform.”

He concluded, saying, “Armed with a new admiration for him, I approached his character. It was important for the entire ‘Manvat Murders’ team to honor not just the officer, but the person and his family as well, through this show.”

Manvat Murders will be streaming on Sony LIV from October 4, 2024.
