Bagheera OTT Release Date: When And Where To Watch Prabhu Deva’s Tamil Psychological Thriller

The makers of the Tamil language psychological romantic thriller film Bagheera have locked its OTT release date. Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, the film released in theaters on March 3, 2023.

Bagheera features an ensemble cast of actors including Prabhu Deva, Srikanth, Amyra Dastur, Remya Nambeesan, Janani, Gayathrie, Sonia Agarwal, Sanchita Shetty and Sakshi Agarwal with Sai Kumar and Nassar. The plot of the film revolves around a psycho killer who has an aversion towards women, thanks to some of the heinous experiences he faced in his life.

Bagheera received mixed reviews from critics and performed decently at the box-office at the time of its theatrical release. The film’s OTT rights were bought weeks before its release.

Bagheera will be making its OTT debut this week on digital streaming platform Sun NXT. The film will begin streaming on March 31, 2023.

Talking about the film in an interview, director Adhik Ravichandran said that he feels not many people will be able to connect with the film.  "I know there are people who don't like my films. Youngsters are my target audience. It would be unrealistic to expect Bagheera to be a universal film," the filmmaker told Cinema Express in an interview.

“Through the promos, I wanted to make it clear that Bagheera is not meant for the family audience. Luring them in by projecting the film as something else would be unjust. That's the reason I have mentioned films like Sigappu Rojakkal and Manmadhan as they too featured a psychologically affected protagonist,” the filmmaker said.

Adhik Ravichandran added, “Bagheera is probably not the right film to expect political correctness from. I have made it clear that the hero is a psychopath and he is bound to be wicked. You and I wouldn't and shouldn't do such things. But a fictional character can. Bagheera is definitely not a hero."
