Barbie is touted as one of the most-anticipated movies of the year 2023. Starring Ryan Gosling, Margot Robbie and Dua Lipa in the lead roles, the movie is scheduled to hit the theatres on July 21, 2023. Now, months ahead of its release, the makers shared the second teaser trailer of Barbie, and it looks every bit of enthralling.
The trailer doesn't give away much about the plot, but it does show off the expensive universe of Barbie. The obstacles Ken and Barbie face in the real world include dealing with their rebellious neighbours and others.
The trailer shows a peek of a pink town where practically everyone wears pink outfits, including Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling. The main highlight of the new film is Robbie's on-screen chemistry with Ryan Gosling, as well as the colourful outfits she wears in the video.
Apart from Margot and Ryan, the cast for Barbie includes Will Ferrell as the Mattel CEO, Connor Swindells, Nicola Coughlan, Emerald Fennell, Kate McKinnon, Michael Cera, America Ferrera, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Rhea Perlman, Sharon Rooney, Ana Cruz Kayne, Ritu Arya and Jamie Demetriou. We will also see Emma Mackey, Issa Rae, Hari Nef, Alexandra Shipp, Simu Liu, Scott Evans and Ncuti Gatwa.
The upcoming comedy-film, Barbie, directed by Greta Gerwig, who also co-wrote it with Noah Baumbach, is the first live-action movie after several computer-animated direct-to-video and streaming television films. The movie is based on the Barbie fashion dolls by Mattel.
