Kunal Kamra has claimed that he was approached to participate in Bigg Boss OTT Season 4. The comedian is currently embroiled in a controversy due to one of his stand-up gigs. Kamra recently made a statement on his new comedy special Naya Bharat, which drew a lot of criticism from the leaders of Shiv Sena, including Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis. He sparked controversy with a parody song in his stand-up show, calling Maharashtra Deputy CM Eknath Shinde a "traitor" (gaddar). The song, set to the tune of Dil To Pagal Hai, referenced Shinde's 2022 defection from Shiv Sena. The Mumbai Police have summoned Kamra, who has refused to apologise for his comments, citing his right to freedom of speech.

In his latest Instagram Story, Kunal Kamra has claimed that he received an offer from Bigg Boss Season 4. His IG Story had a message from a casting director who said, “I am handling the casting for this season of Bigg Boss and your name came up as someone they might find interesting. I know it might not have been on your radar, but honestly, it’s such a mad platform to show your real vibe and win over a massive audience. What do you think? Should we talk about it?"

“I would much rather check into a mental hospital,” Kunal Kamra replied, as evident from his IG Story.

Kamra recently accused BookMyShow of removing his shows from the website under political pressure. He wrote on his Instagram handle, “I understand that you need a cordial relationship with the state, and I know that Mumbai is a major hub for live entertainment. Without the state’s cooperation, iconic shows like Coldplay and Guns N’ Roses wouldn’t be possible.”

In its statement, BookMyShow wrote, “Facts on our role have been misrepresented in the public domain. Our role is to provide a platform for ticket sales of live shows, and it is the decision of the organiser or the venue to list or delist their shows.”
