BLACKPINK’s Rosé and Bruno Mars have made history with their collaboration track, APT, which recently reached the 3rd spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. This milestone marks the highest-ever ranking for a Kpop female act on the chart.
The song, which was released on October 18, 2024, quickly went viral on social media, earning widespread attention. APT debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 8 and has maintained a strong presence, staying on the chart for 10 consecutive weeks. Its climb to number 3 is a remarkable achievement, occurring just 102 days after its release.
In addition to its success on the Billboard Hot 100, APT also broke records on YouTube. The music video reached 900 million views in just 92 days, making it the fastest Kpop music video to hit this milestone. This achievement surpassed the previous record held by PSY’s Gangnam Style, which had stood for years.

The song’s success doesn’t stop there. APT also topped the Global Spotify chart, with Rosé becoming the first K-pop female soloist to do so. She also made history by surpassing BTS’ Jungkook’s record for the highest number of monthly listeners on Spotify, reaching over 50 million listeners.
Rosé’s solo career is thriving as well. She released her full studio album, rosie, on December 6, 2024. The album features 12 tracks, including APT, Toxic Till the End, Number One Girl and Stay a Little Longer. Fans can expect even more music from Rosé, who continues to break barriers in the Kpop industry.
