BTS’ dedicated fandom, ARMY, took centre stage at the SXSW Film Festival as the documentary Forever We Are Young had its world premiere on March 10, 2025. The screening, held at the Paramount Theatre in Austin, Texas, celebrated the global impact of BTS’ fanbase.

Directed by Grace Lee and Patty Ahn, the 91-minute documentary explores how ARMY has grown alongside BTS, supporting the group from their early days in K-pop to their rise as a global sensation. The film highlights the deep connection between BTS and their fans, showcasing the diversity and inclusivity that define the fandom.

“A lot of the fans in the film started as teenagers, navigating an emotional and formative time in their lives,” director Grace Lee shared. “As BTS grew as artists, ARMY grew with them. Their connection is inseparable.”

Due to high demand, a second screening is scheduled for March 11, 2025, at the ZACH Theatre. The film will begin at 5:45 PM and is available in English, Korean, Spanish, and Castilian. The premiere on March 10 was held from 11 AM to 12:31 PM.

Forever We Are Young captures ARMY’s unwavering support, from small concert venues to sold-out stadiums worldwide. More than just a music documentary, it showcases how BTS' message of self-love and empowerment continues to inspire millions across different backgrounds, identities, and nationalities.

For those who missed the first screening, the March 11 showing offers another opportunity to witness this heartfelt tribute to BTS and their passionate fanbase.
