BTS Jimin was scammed by comedian Lee Jin Ho, best known for his appearance on Knowing Bros. Jimin's agency, BIGHIT MUSIC has recently confirmed the same. According to reports, Jimin lent Lee Jin Ho an estimated 100 million KRW (about $74,000 USD) in 2022. The loan was given based on a promissory note, but the comedian has yet to repay the debt.

The shocking news came to light after Lee Jin Ho admitted to his gambling addiction on social media. He revealed that he had been involved in illegal online gambling since 2020, which led to severe financial trouble. In his statement, the comedian expressed deep regret, sharing that he was struggling under the weight of his debts and had received help from several people. Despite his ongoing efforts to repay what he owes, Jimin remains one of the victims.

Korean media outlets and BIGHIT MUSIC confirmed the details, with the agency stating, “Jimin indeed suffered financial damage. All he did was write a promissory note and lend it to Lee Jin Ho.” This revelation has sparked outrage among Jimin's fans and netizens, with many expressing their anger over the situation.

Lee Jin Ho's confession on social media added further fuel to the fire. He admitted that his gambling addiction had spiralled out of control, leading to unbearable stress. “I couldn’t afford the debt that I accumulated,” he wrote. The comedian shared that he constantly felt fear whenever he received phone calls from unknown numbers, dreading when his secret would be exposed.

Lee Jin Ho has apologized for his actions, promising to repay his debts for the rest of his life if necessary. However, his agency, SM C&C, has not yet released an official statement on the matter, and the producers of Knowing Bros are reportedly reviewing his future on the show.
