BTS Jin is ready to take the spotlight solo as he debuts on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon next Wednesday, November 20. Following in the footsteps of fellow BTS members Jimin, Jungkook and Suga, Jin’s appearance on Fallon marks an exciting milestone in his solo career as he performs for the first time as an individual artist on the popular American late-night show. This anticipated appearance is part of Jin’s promotion for his new album, Happy, which will be released on November 15.

Jin is no stranger to The Tonight Show, having previously appeared with BTS in 2018, 2020 and 2021, including the memorable performance where the group took over New York’s Grand Central Station. However, this upcoming appearance is special, as it highlights his first solo album, marking a new chapter in his musical journey.

The album’s debut single, I’ll Be There, was co-produced with American artist MAX, offering a nostalgic rockabilly sound that Jin has described as a heartfelt homage to BTS fans. The single, released last month, has already stirred excitement among fans worldwide, and his next performance on The Tonight Show is expected to be a memorable one.

Fans got a sneak peek of Jin’s upcoming solo performance through a playful teaser video shared by The Tonight Show, where Fallon humorously inserts a floppy disk into a retro computer, only to reveal Jin as the mystery guest while the upbeat main track Running Wild from Happy plays in the background. This single serves as the album’s focus track, adding to the anticipation surrounding Jin’s debut on one of America’s most-watched talk shows.

In addition to his TV appearance, Jin has announced a special live event to celebrate the release of Happy on November 15. Hosted on Weverse, this live stream will start at 2:30 PM KST (11:00 AM IST), allowing fans a chance to interact directly with Jin, hear about his experiences, and ask questions about his first solo project. This live event is particularly exciting for fans, as it marks Jin’s official comeback since The Astronaut, his 2022 single.

Ahead of the album release, Jin has been keeping fans engaged with teasers and concept photos. Happy features six tracks, including Running Wild, I’ll Be There, Another Level, Until It Reaches You, Heart on the Window and In Yearning/Longing. Notably, Heart on the Window includes a collaboration with Red Velvet’s Wendy, promising an eclectic mix of sounds and themes that showcase Jin’s versatility as an artist.

Since completing his 18-month mandatory military service in June, Jin has been actively pursuing his solo career. In addition to his music, he has appeared on variety shows, including The Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island and his own show, RUN JIN. His return has been a celebration for fans, who are eager to see what Jin has in store both musically and in his wider media engagements.
