BTS Jungkook's recent Instagram posts have ignited a storm of controversy, with HYBE facing accusations of twisting his words in the ongoing dispute involving NewJeans and former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin. The situation has left fans and netizens outraged, demanding clarity and transparency from the agency.

Jungkook's Instagram posts, which included the captions “Artists are not guilty” and “Don’t use them,” were initially interpreted by many as a show of support for NewJeans amid their conflict with HYBE. Although Jungkook did not directly mention the group, the timing and content of his posts seemed to align with their situation.

In response, BIGHIT MUSIC released a statement clarifying that Jungkook's posts were meant to convey his stance that young artists should not be involved in disputes. They emphasised that the message was not intended to criticize any specific individual or group.

However, this explanation has been met with scepticism. A recent report from Yonhap News TV highlighted concerns that BIGHIT's statement may have misrepresented Jungkook’s words. The report pointed out that BIGHIT did not confirm whether Jungkook used the term "shield," leading to suspicions that the agency might be using his posts to counter criticism of their handling of the situation.

The controversy has intensified with claims that HYBE employees were caught mocking Jungkook on a messaging app used by verified company staff. Screenshots of disparaging comments about Jungkook posted on the BLIND app, have further fueled fan outrage. The comments reportedly included insults and showed frustration with Jungkook’s support for NewJeans.

Fans have responded by voicing their support for Jungkook and demanding accountability from HYBE. Hashtags supporting him have gained traction on social media, reflecting the growing discontent with how the situation has been handled.

In light of the ongoing debate, BIGHIT MUSIC reiterated that their statements regarding Jungkook's Instagram posts were based on information confirmed by the artist himself. They also mentioned that they cannot disclose the specific subject of Jungkook's captions, maintaining that their interpretation of his posts is not arbitrary.
