BTS rapper J-Hope has started his mandatory military service, where on Tuesday his first pictures in uniform took over the internet. J-Hope or Jung Ho-seok is the second BTS member to join the army for 18 months of compulsory service, after Jin's enlistment.

The rapper is serving at the Baekho New Corps of the 36th Infantry Division. Now, pictures from the camp have surfaced on the internet, where in the first picture, J-Hope can be seen in a buzz cut and looks excited while he is eating his meal with his trainees.

J-Hope can be seen flashing a big smile, followed by a group of Hobi and others dressed in their uniform and flashing heart signs for his fans. J-Hope can be seen having his name card which ranks him as number 1.

According to a report published by Hindustan Times, J-Hope is receiving basic military education and training for about five weeks, after which he will be entitled to serve in the army as an active-duty soldier.

Reacting to the pictures, a social media user wrote, "Omg (Oh my God) he's looking good!" Another social media user wrote, "I wonder if we'll be able to see jhope and jin together at any moment." While one more wrote, "I'm happy to see this but I'll wait for hobi's update on Instagram."

J-Hope was enlisted in the military on April 18, wherein an official video shared on BangtanTV, he was seen reuniting with his BTS members before saying adieu to them. Jin, who is already serving in the army also came and joined all the members along with RM, Suga, Jimin, V, and Jungkook.

One South Korean news outlet, Newsies, reported that all the recruits joining on April 18 were only allowed to enter the premises with one car for each, and this was not just the case for the BTS rapper.

A large LED sign was also reported over the entrance mentioning the allowance, where the new joiners were only allowed to enter the guarded premises after showing their notice sign.

Meanwhile, other BTS members will soon join the process of enlistment as per their timelines, where all are currently focusing on their solo careers, and the group will be returning in 2025.
