BTS Permission To Dance is the pop supergroup's 2021 hit English single that flushes out all negativity and spreads love and light. In a recent revelation, ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin disclosed that she had not given her consent for NewJeans members Hanni and Minji to appear in the BTS music video for Permission to Dance. This statement came as a surprise to fans who had long assumed that the cameo was a strategic move to promote the new girl group.
Min Hee Jin's revelation was made public on July 23, 2024, following accusations from HYBE, the parent company of BTS, that were detailed by Dispatch, as per Koreaboo. In response, Min Hee Jin shared a screenshot of an email sent to HYBE CEO Park Ji Won, expressing her dissatisfaction with how the trainees were featured without prior agreement. The email highlighted her growing mistrust of HYBE due to what she described as "continued impolite actions."
Min Hee Jin wrote in the email:
"By the way, along with other things including how you featured the trainees for the girl group in BTS’ music video without prior agreement, I have begun to feel that there have been continued impolite actions. I am mindful of the fact that there are many things happening that make it hard for me to trust Source Music or HYBE in the future."
This information contradicted the long-held belief among fans that NewJeans' appearance in the BTS video was a deliberate promotional tactic. The news added a new layer of complexity to the ongoing relationship between ADOR and HYBE.

On the same day, Min Hee Jin addressed a report by Dispatch which suggested that she, along with Kakao CEO Kim Beomsoo, had plans to take over HYBE. The report also implicated Kim Beomsoo in stock manipulation related to SM Entertainment. Min Hee Jin vehemently denied these claims and announced that she is preparing to take legal action against Dispatch for defamation.
Furthermore, Dispatch claimed that Min Hee Jin consulted with a shaman, referred to as K, in selecting the members of NewJeans. These allegations were part of a broader narrative involving the agency under which the NewJeans members were trained before their debut.

In a separate development, NewJeans celebrated their second debut anniversary on July 22, 2024. However, the celebration was overshadowed by plagiarism allegations. ADOR officially addressed these allegations on July 23, concerning their song Bubble Gum and its similarity to the British band Shakatak’s Easier Said Than Done. ADOR is currently managing these claims and working to resolve the situation.
The feud between ADOR and HYBE, which began in April 2024, shows no signs of ending soon, with ongoing serious allegations from both sides.
