BTS Suga, known for his solo work as Agust D, has made a remarkable return to the iTunes charts despite being focused on his military service and a recent legal issue. As of August 23, 2024, Suga’s older tracks are making waves on iTunes in the U.S., with several of his songs climbing the charts.

Suga's hit Polar, from his album D-Day, has soared to No. 22 on iTunes, while The Last has also made a notable appearance, reaching No. 37. His collaboration on Snooze with Woosung and late composer Ryuichi Sakamoto is gaining traction, currently at No. 53. Haegeum, another track from D-Day, stands at No. 101.

The resurgence of these songs comes amid heightened support from his fans, following a DUI incident that occurred on August 6. The situation, involving Suga navigating an electric scooter with a high blood alcohol level, drew significant media attention. While initial reports were conflicting, leading to some confusion, Suga and BTS’s agency have since issued apologies and clarified the circumstances.

Despite the controversy, the support from his ARMY fans has been unwavering. This surge in fan engagement has propelled Agust D’s music back into the spotlight. On August 24, 2024, Suga’s tracks, including Polar Night and The Last, reached No. 1 on the iTunes charts in multiple countries, reflecting a strong global fan base.

Suga now joins fellow BTS members Jimin, Jungkook and V as one of the few Kpop artists to achieve such success on iTunes in 2024, underscoring his enduring popularity and the powerful support of his fans during this challenging time.
