BTS member V aka Kim Taehyung is currently serving in the military and is away from the limelight. Despite his absence from the showbiz, the singer manages to grab the attention and trend on social media. BigHit Music has announced his new project which will be a digital single titled 'FRI(END)S. Ahead of the release of the song, the agency released a short film and it has created more excitement about the project. Fans have praised V's creativity and the unique way of promoting the song.

'FRI(END)S' will release worldwide on March 15.  

V was earlier in the news as he achieved a new milestone by getting over 300 million streams on Spotify for his all four solo songs. V made his solo debut with his album 'Layover' and released two songs from the album. 'Love Me Again' and 'Slow Dancing' are part of V's album 'Layover'. The other songs which crossed 300 million streams are - 'Christmas Tree' and 'Sweet Night', which have been made for Kdramas.

Talking about V's album, 'Layover' has six songs: 'For You', 'Blue', 'Slow Dancing', 'Rainy Days', 'Love Me Again' and 'Slow Dancing (Piano Version). BigHit Music released an official statement on Weverse and said, "Hello. This is BIGHIT MUSIC. This is BIGHIT MUSIC. Layover consists of six tracks in total – five tracks and a bonus track. To fully appreciate the album’s flow, we recommend listening to it in sequence from start to finish."

"The music videos for all five tracks will also be revealed. V will showcase amazing new performances and make various appearances alongside the album’s release. Please stay tuned and continue to support V as he embarks on his new solo journey," BigHit Music added.

On the work front, V teamed up with IU for the latter's music video 'Love Wins All'. He also became the second richest Kpop idol of 2024 and the richest BTS member.
