BTS member V aka Kim Taehyung is currently serving in the military and will return in 2025. Ahead of his military enlistment, V made his ambitious solo album debut with 'Layover' and it became a chartbuster instantly. The singer has curated several projects for the BTS ARMY in his absence from the limelight. He is all set to collaborate with American singer and songwriter UMI for the song 'Wherever U R' and UMI has given an exciting update about the song.

The song 'Wherever U R' will release on December 30 at 2 PM KST, which is 10:30 AM IST. Not much has been revealed about the song but V shared a video on Instagram in the studio ahead of enlisting in the military.

V earlier a heartfelt note for his fans and expressed his love and admiration for his fans ahead of starting his military service. He wrote on Weverse, "I think I'm going to miss you so much. To be honest, it's a real shame that I can't have any more happy memories with ARMYs for some time, if it wasn't for that one thing it would be okay, but not being able to see ARMYs is the hardest. For a long time that is 18 months, I will become really healthy and come back so ARMYs, please take care of your health too. and if day by day you find things to be happy about, I'll appear once again like 'tada! I'm here!'. and also I have prepared various things for during those 18 months so please look forward to it."

He also assured his fans about his decision to enlist in the Special Duty Team, an anti-terrorism unit directly under the supervision of the Blue House and said that he wanted to challenge himself. Addressing the concern of his fans, V said, "There were articles coming out about the unit I will be enlisting. ARMYs were worried, but honestly, I just wanted to challenge myself by going there and because I have goals. So please do not worry too much. I am challenging myself, but I also know how to deflect when needed. I shall return healthy and not get hurt. I’m a little bit scared of rappels, but… just please trust me."

Talking about V's album, 'Layover' has six songs: 'For You', 'Blue', 'Slow Dancing', 'Rainy Days', 'Love Me Again' and 'Slow Dancing (Piano Version).
