Captain Miller Vs Ayalaan Box Office Collection Day 7: Dhanush-starrer made a grand entry into theaters this Pongal, garnering significant attention and a tremendous start at ticket windows. The highly anticipated film has not only met but exceeded expectations, earning praise from both critics and audiences alike. Benefiting from the Pongal holidays and the weekend, 'Captain Miller' demonstrated its robust performance over the first seven days since its release, creating a strong presence at the box office. Sivakarthikeyan's 'Ayalaan', on the other hand, continue to dip further.
Captain Miller Box Office Report:
On its seventh day, the periodic drama faced a major decline. Despite this, the film has successfully grossed over Rs 40 crore domestically. As 'Captain Miller' concludes its first week, day 7 is expected to be average for the film. Nevertheless, it is poised to retain a significant number of screens in its second week, benefiting from the absence of major Tamil releases during this period.
The film starring Dhanush, which premiered on January 12, has showcased an impressive performance at the Indian box office. Directed by Arun Matheshwaran and produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, it commenced with an opening collection of Rs 8.7 crore. Despite experiencing slight declines in its weekday collections, 'Captain Miller' has reported an estimated net income of around Rs 1.55 crore on its seventh day. Accumulating a total of Rs 40.36 crore. The film had an overall 16.15 per cent Tamil Occupancy on Thursday, January 18, 2024 and is poised to cross the Rs 50 crore mark in the domestic box office soon.
Ayalaan Box Office Report:
'Ayalaan' had a respectable opening at the box office, kicking off with an initial day collection of Rs 3.45 crores. The film sustained its momentum, collecting Rs 4.85 crores on day 2 and Rs 5.65 crores on day 3. Despite the crucial Monday test during Pongal celebrations, it managed to secure Rs 6.62 crores. On the fifth day, 'Ayalaan' garnered Rs 6.60 crore, and with a slight dip on the sixth day, it earned Rs 5.50 crore, bringing the total collection to Rs 33.10 crores. Now, on seventh day the film earned Rs 1.50 crore, which is one of the major drop witnessed. Ayalaan had an overall 18.58% Tamil Occupancy on Thursday, January 18, 2024.
Under the direction of R. Ravikumar, 'Ayalaan' features an ensemble cast with notable names such as Rakul Preet Singh, Sharad Kelkar, Isha Koppikar, Bhanupriya, Yogi Babu, Karunakaran, and Bala Saravanan.
