The new season's plot revolved around the murder of Roshni Saluja (Asha Negi), a nurse, and the main suspect was her lover, Dr. Raj Nagpal (Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub). Raj, however, has maintained that he did not kill Roshni. Then, who did?

Criminal Justice Season 4 Episode 8 PLOT

Dr. Raj Nagpal's marriage to Anju Nagpal (Surveen Chawla) are separated. The former couple's daughter, Ira suffers from Asperger's syndrome. Meanwhile, Raj is in love with Roshni Saluja, a nurse at his hospital. Anju frequently comes to Raj's house to see how her daughter is doing, even though she resides close to him. Roshni, who takes care of Ira, was found dead following the little girl's birthday celebration. Dr. Raj Nagpal was found clutching her blood-covered body. This was where it all began.

While Anju recruited lawyer Madhav Mishra (Pankaj Tripathi) to save her husband, Raj was arrested as a key suspect. Investigations revealed a number of facts regarding Roshni. Given that Raj was not divorcing Anju or publicly embracing Roshni, it was only reasonable for Roshni to feel a little envious of her as well.

As the investigation progressed, Anju, who was arrested as a second suspect, admitted that she killed Roshni after realising the latter was purposefully poisoning her daughter. Roshni died instantly from blood loss after Anju unintentionally cut her neck with a knife during a heated argument. Anju was so taken into custody. The case, however, did not end there.

SPOILER ALERT!

Dr Raj told Madhav Mishra that his wife had been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer when he visited him in his workplace to thank him for saving his life. This perplexed Madhav, who re-examined the entire case and ultimately decided that Anju should bear full responsibility in order to save the lives of Raj and Ira.

He visited Anju at the hospital, and during their conversation, Anju revealed that Raj was the one who witnessed Roshni poisoning Ira and killed her with a knife. Anju concealed all the evidence since Raj pleaded with her for assistance. The fact that Anju was a former lawyer meant that no one, not even Madhav Mishra, could understand her strategy. Knowing how the case would play out, Anju helped implicate herself in order to free Raj because she was dying of cancer and someone would be available to care for Ira.

For the benefit of their family, Madhav Mishra chose to remove the full confession/conversation that he had been recording.
