However, despite the earlier confirmation, the movie's release on the digital platform has been delayed, leaving fans in a state of confusion. The unexpected delay has sparked curiosity among viewers, who are now eagerly awaiting an official announcement regarding the new release date of Daaku Maharaaj on OTT platforms.

Contrary to earlier reports, some media outlets are now suggesting that the news about Daaku Maharaaj's release on Netflix may be entirely incorrect. Furthermore, some reports are even speculating that the movie may not be available on OTT platforms until March, which would be a significant delay from the initially reported February 9 release date.

The film is produced by Sithara Entertainments, Fortune Four Cinemas, and Srikara Studios. The film boasts an ensemble cast, including Nandamuri Balakrishna, Bobby Deol, Pragya Jaiswal, Shraddha Srinath, and Urvashi Rautela, among others.

Daaku Maharaaj was officially announced in June 2023 as NBK 109, marking Balakrishna's 109th film as a leading actor. The official title was revealed in November 2024. Principal photography began in November 2023. The film's music is composed by Thaman S, with cinematography handled by Vijay Kartik Kannan and editing by Ruben & Niranjan Devaramane.

Daaku Maharaaj was released worldwide on January 12, 2025, coinciding with Sankranti. The film received mixed to generally positive reviews and has grossed over ₹115 crores worldwide. As of now, Daaku Maharaaj is the third highest-grossing Telugu film of 2025 and the fourth highest-grossing Indian film of 2025.
