Popular Television star Dalljiet Kaur has been making headlines for her divorce rumours with Kenya-based businessman Nikhil Patel. The couple, who got hitched in 2023, is going through a rough patch in their marital life. Dalljiet’s recent Instagram post indicated that she had suffered a lot after her second marriage and she has been protecting her child from all the chaos in her life. Amid all the speculations, Nikhil stated that Dalljiet is gaining cheap media attention through her careless actions towards her child.

In an interview with ETimes, Nikhil said “As a normal citizen of the world, It is very disturbing to see how the gaps in online protection laws both in India and globally can, and are, often exploited by those who choose to gain cheap media attention through careless actions that place innocent children and women at risk. Sharing pictures and video footage without consent of those involved, particularly in the case of children, who are always a vulnerable group in society and who always require protection of the law, is illegal and negligent.”

Nikhil further shared that his team has reached out to Dalljiet to take her belongings this month otherwise it will be given to a charity in Kenya. He also said that he does not intend to store her items at his place and has requested her on several occasions to collect them. As per Nikhil, his legal team has made it clear that he won’t tolerate any kind of harassment against him. He will take strict legal action against Kaur if she continues with her unlawful actions.

Earlier in an interview with the same media portal, Nikhil opened up about his separation from Dalljiet. He said, “In January this year, Dalljiet decided to leave Kenya with her son Jaydon and return to India, which ultimately led to our separation. We both realised that the foundation of our blended family wasn't as strong as we had hoped, making it hard for Dalljiet to settle in Kenya. In March 2023, we held an Indian wedding ceremony in Mumbai. Though it held cultural significance, it was not legally binding. This ceremony was intended to reassure Dalljiet’s family about her move to Kenya.”

On the professional side, Dalljiet has been known for roles in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?, Kaala Teeka, Kulvaddhu, and Kaisa Ye Pyar Hai to name a few.
