'Dayaa' Release Date:
'Dayaa' will release on August 4, 2023, on Disney+ Hotstar.
The trailer starts with a report about a journalist named Kavitha Naidu who has been missing. Dayaa, a freezer van driver, finds Kavitha’s body in his van. The description reads, "His life takes an unexpected turn as he becomes enmeshed in crime and bloodshed."
Directed by Pavan Sadineni, 'Dayaa' stars JD Chakravarthy, Ramya Nambeesan and Eesha Rebba in the lead roles.
In Hindi cinema, JD Chakravarthy is well known for his role in the cult classic 'Satya'. In an interview with DNA, he revealed he also designed the sound and edited 'Satya'.
“'Satya' was more like my 40th film, and not my first as many people believe. When 'Satya' was released, there was no platform for promoting a film. But people do remember me for it. I didn’t have to talk about it, the work did. Apart from acting in 'Satya', I was also designing the sound and editing the film. I was supposed to check the sound design in the Eros Theatre in Mumbai," he said.
He added, "When I went for the first show around 11.30, there were around 30-40 people in the hall. By the matinee show, half the theatre was full. There was no WhatsApp, no message. People just flocked. By the evening show, I couldn’t park my own car,” he told DNA.
Talking about 'Dayaa', the show also stars Babloo Prithiveeraj, Vishnupriyaa Bhimeneni, Ravi Josh, Kamal Kamaraju, Mayank Parakh, and Nandagopal. The series has dialogues by Rakendu Mouli, additional screenplay by Pavan Sadineni and Vasant Jurru, cinematography by Vivek Kalepu, editing by Viplav Nyshadam, and music by Shravan Bharadwaj.
