Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh delighted their fans on the auspicious occasion of Diwali by sharing the highly anticipated first glimpse of their newborn daughter. Taking to their Instagram handles, the doting parents posted an adorable photograph that has stolen the hearts of their followers. The image captures the tiny feet of their little bundle of joy gently resting on a lap, presumed to be Deepika's.

Deepika and Ranveer have doubled the delight for their fans by revealing not only the first glimpse of their newborn but also her adorable name - Dua Padukone Singh. Alongside the heartwarming photo of their daughter's tiny feet, the celebrity couple shared the exciting news, introducing their little one to the world. The name Dua, meaning "prayer" or "blessing" in Arabic, reflects the couple's gratitude and joy at welcoming their precious child. 

The caption under the post read, “Dua Padukone Singh | दुआ पादुकोण सिंह ‘Dua’ : meaning a Prayer.Because She is the Answer to our Prayers.Our hearts are filled with Love & Gratitude.Deepika & Ranveer.”

Earlier this year, Deepika Padukone shared the joyful news of her pregnancy with her fans on Instagram in March. Her announcement post was creatively designed, featuring the words "September 2024" - subtly revealing her due date. The post was adorned with adorable motifs of baby clothes, tiny shoes, and colourful balloons, adding a touch of excitement and celebration to the reveal. 

Deepika is currently on a maternity break. According to News18, a source said, “Her maternity leave will last till March of next year. And after that, she’ll immediately get busy with filming the sequel of Kalki along with Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Prabhas.”
