Dhanush is set to make a comeback in Hindi cinema with Aanand L Rai’s Tere Ishk Mein, following their previous collaboration on Atrangi Re (2021). The actor is currently filming in Delhi, and his latest look from the movie has already made its way online.
Several pictures and videos of Dhanush shooting at Sri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) have surfaced on social media, capturing moments of him running through the campus. In one of the widely shared images, the 41-year-old actor is seen sprinting past a crowd, with fans noting that he doesn’t need “de-ageing” to convincingly play a college student.
A video seemingly recorded by a student shows glimpses of the actor stepping out of his caravan and preparing for a scene. The art direction in the leaked clips suggests that the scene is set during college elections, hinting that Dhanush’s character, Shankar Gurrukkal, could be a student leader.

Aanand L Rai and Dhanush have a successful history together, having previously worked on Raanjhanaa (2013) and Atrangi Re (2021). Addressing speculations about Tere Ishk Mein being a sequel to Raanjhanaa, the director clarified that while the film shares emotional depth with Raanjhanaa, it is a completely different story.
“It is from the world of Raanjhanaa, but it is not Raanjhanaa 2,” Aanand L Rai said in an interview, explaining that both films have common themes of love, tragedy, and rage but are distinct in their narratives. Kriti Sanon plays the female lead, Mukti, in the film, which is expected to release later this year.
Apart from Tere Ishk Mein, Dhanush has a packed schedule with multiple projects across different languages. He is currently filming Kubera with Sekhar Kammula in Telugu, Idly Kadai in Tamil (which he is directing) and an untitled project with Rajkumar Periyasamy.
