In a tragic sequence of events, television actress Dolly Sohi and her sister Amandeep Sohi passed away. Dolly, known for her roles in 'Jhanak' and 'Parineetii,' succumbed to cervical cancer on Friday, March 8, shortly after the news of her sister Amandeep's passing. Amandeep had been ill for a month prior to her passing. She was battling jaundice.
Mannu Sohi, her brother, expressed the family's profound devastation at losing both sisters within a few hours. He also disclosed that Dolly's funeral is scheduled for the afternoon. "Dolly passed away around 4am this morning. Both, Dolly and Amandeep were admitted to Apollo Hospital in New Mumbai. Amandeep passed away yesterday and now Dolly. We are completely devastated," Mannu told India Today.
The family released a statement announcing the passing of the actor, which stated, "Our beloved Dolly has left for her heavenly abode today early morning. We are in a state of shock with the loss. The final rites shall be conducted today afternoon. Will share further details."
Dolly had shared a photo last year after a chemotherapy session. "THANK U EVERYONE FOR SENDING YOUR LOVE AND PRAYERS Life has been a Roller Coaster lately, But if u have the strength to fight with it then ur journey becomes easier. It’s up to u what do u choose to be A Victim Of Journey (CANCER) Or A Survivor Of Journey," she wrote.
