Double ISmart OTT Release:  Ram Pothineni and Sanjay Dutt starrer released in theatres on 15th August. The science fiction action drama directed by Puri Jagannadh has received mixed reviews from the audience. It is the sequel to the 2019 hit movie iSmart Shankar. The Telugu language movie began from where iSmart Shankar’s climax ended. Double ISmart was gaining a lot of attention from the audience ahead of its release as fans were eager to see Ram Pothineni and Sanjay Dutt onscreen together. Though the movie was praised for Ram Pothineni’s performance mainly, people at the same time loved the action and witty content as well. 

About Double ISmart

The movie revolves around Big Bull (played by Sanjay Dutt) who runs a global drug and weapons cartel abroad. He soon returns to India with a mission to avenge his mother's murder. But after coming to this country, he has been diagnosed with a brain tumour. It shows that he needs a memory transfer to cure himself. Shankar (played by Ram Pothineni) turns out to be an ideal candidate due to a USB port embedded in his head.

Puri Jagannadh’s directorial stars Ram Pothineni, Kavya Thapar, Sanjay Dutt, Vishu Reddy, Bani J, Sayaji Shinde, Getup Srinu, Uttej and Makarand Deshpande in prominent roles. The film is backed by Puri Jagannadh and Charmy Kaur. Ram Pothineni’s movie earned Rs 7.5 crores on the opening day. As per a report by Sacnilk, the Telugu version of the movie had a strong occupancy rate of 63.98 per cent across shows on Day 1. The movie which had a pan-India release, the Hindi version of it had an occupancy rate of 33.35 per cent.
