Dream Girl 2 Box Office Collection: Ayushmann Khurrana Starrer Continues To Maintain Pace On Day 5; Collects This Much

‘Dream Girl 2’ features Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday in lead roles and is directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa. The film is produced by Ekta and Shobha Kapoor, and hit theatres on August 25. The film witnessed a decent growth on Monday, and passed the crucial litmus test. On Day 5, it continued to maintain its slow pace and minted Rs 5.87 Crore. The boost in the collections of ‘Dream Girl 2’ should be seen on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan on August 30, taking the collection to be around Rs 60 Crores.

‘Dream Girl 2’ churned Rs 5.87 Crore on Day 5, taking the total collection of the film to be around Rs 52 Crore. The film has opened to positive reviews from the audience and critics, with Ayushmann Khurrana being hailed for his performance as Karam aka Pooja. ‘Dream Girl 2’ needs to hold a strong collection record in its week 2, after which Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’ will take over the box office.

Talking about the plot of ‘Dream Girl 2’, Ayushmann Khurrana essays the role of Karam, a small-town boy from Mathura, struggling to pay his father’s debt. On the other hand, he is deeply in love with Pari, whose father has kept certain conditions to marry her. Therefore, to make ends meet, Karam poses as a dancer named Pooja, creating chaos with tons of comedy.
