The much-anticipated film 'Thug Life,' featuring the legendary Kamal Haasan and directed by Mani Ratnam, has been in production for several months. Although the second phase of filming commenced earlier last month, recent reports suggest that Dulquer Salmaan has opted out of the star-studded project. It's speculated that Salmaan will no longer participate in the upcoming schedules that need to be finalised.
Why Dulquer Salmaan walked out of Thug Life?
According to reports, Dulquer has withdrawn from 'Thug Life' due to his packed schedule, filled with numerous projects. The actor's decision stems from conflicting dates and hectic commitments, making it challenging to accommodate Kamal Haasan's highly anticipated film. However, there has been no official announcement from the makers regarding Dulquer's departure from 'Thug Life' yet.
Currently, the actor has several films lined up, and his next appearance will be in the upcoming Telugu film "Lucky Baskhar," directed by Venky Atluri. Recently, the makers unveiled the first look poster of the film. Next, an upcoming intense thriller tentatively titled 'Suriya43,' helmed by Sudha Kongara, which also stars Nazriya Nazim and Vijay Varma in significant roles.
Additionally, Dulquer is set to star in the upcoming film 'Kaantha,' directed by Selvamani Selvaraj, where he shares the screen with Rana Daggubati.

The star-studded cast of the film comprises Kamal Haasan, Trisha, Jayam Ravi, Gautham Karthik, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Joju George. While the filmmakers are anticipated to promptly enlist a replacement for Dulquer Salmaan, the crew is gearing up for the next phase of shooting in Serbia.
The technical team behind Mani Ratnam's 'Thug Life' includes cinematographer Ravi K Chandran, marking his collaboration with Mani Ratnam after the 2004 film 'Aayitha Ezhuthu.' Joining him are National Award winners Sreekar Prasad for editing, Anbariv for action choreography, and Sharmishta Roy for production design.
