'Tum Kya Mile' Behind-The-Scenes Footage: The behind-the-scenes footage of the song 'Tum Kya Mile' from the movie 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' was released by the film's makers on Sunday and features the lead actors, Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. In the making-of video, Alia shares that she filmed the song merely four months after giving birth to her daughter, Raha Kapoor.
The filming of 'Tum Kya Mile' took place in the scenic location of Kashmir. The behind-the-scenes footage provides a glimpse into the song's rehearsals. Ranveer Singh can be heard expressing, "The essence of the song goes along with the way it has been captured. There's a certain lyricism to it." While Alia described it as a quintessential tribute to the romantic love songs reminiscent of Yash Chopra's style.
During a discussion, Alia briefly mentioned that ‘Tum Kya Mile’ is her first love song shot in a chiffon saree, while Ranveer expresses that it might be his favourite track. Alia further shares, "When I see the final result, I feel so happy that something I can proudly say that I did four months after a baby. So, I really prepped myself up to this. I really wanted it to be outstanding."
The melodious track 'Tum Kya Mile' has been performed by Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal. Composed by Pritam, this love song bears the heartfelt lyrics penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya. Vaibhavi Merchant took charge of choreographing the song, which beautifully showcases the chemistry between Alia, also known as Rani, and Ranveer, portraying the character of Rocky. Set amid the captivating snow-capped mountains of Kashmir, the song depicts their romantic moments.
Directed by Karan Johar, 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' marks his return to directing after a hiatus of more than six years. Apart from Ranveer and Alia, who play the lead roles, the film boasts a stellar cast including Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra, and Shabana Azmi. The movie is set to hit theatres on July 28.
