British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has a massive fan following in India and his love for the country is evident in his latest track Sapphire. He went desi as he sang Punjabi lyrics with Arijit Singh in the song. The internet believes he truly deserves an Aadhar card. After taking Sapphire up a notch by featuring a special cameo by Shah Rukh Khan, he has something more in store associated with the superstar. Sheeran is set to make his Bollywood debut and that too with King movie. Don't believe it? Here's what the singer himself revealed about recording a Hindi song.

Ed Sheeran Sung Hindi Song For SRK's Film

On Tuesday, Ed dropped a behind-the-scenes video from the making of Sapphire on his Instagram. He talked about Shah Rukh Khan's cameo for the song. After this, his video went viral and was shared by one of his fan clubs. The post read "Can't wait for the full Punjabi version Check out the behind-the-scenes on Ed's YouTube Channel! Ed said Hindi version in that video, so I'm not sure if the other version of the song will be Hindi or Punjabi now!"

In this post, Ed commented by confirming that the Hindi song was actually for a movie starring Shah Rukh Khan. The singer wrote, "The Hindi song was for a Bollywood movie SRK is doing, this is the Punjabi version of Sapphire with Arijit. I’m just doing all languages at this point."

Soon after his comment, fans shared their excitement about Ed and SRK's collaboration. One user wrote, "@teddysphotos which Hindi song? When is it coming out," while another user asked, "In king ?" Another comment read, "SRK x Ed loading for King."

Talking about SRK's King movie: The highly anticipated movie is under production. Shah Rukh is currently shooting for it and his transformation for his role is generating a significant amount of excitement. King is being directed by Siddharth Anand and marks the actor's first on-screen collaboration with his daughter Suhana Khan. Besides them, the movie is going to be star-studded reportedly with the involvement of actors Rani Mukerji, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Jaideep Ahlawat and Arshad Warsi in pivotal roles.
